THE ARTIST
- The artist's journey into art began at an early age, driven by a deep fascination with how paintings are created. Born in Hubbali, Karnataka, and raised in Surat, Gujarat, they pursued formal education in art, earning a Drawing Teacher Diploma in 2009, followed by a B.F.A. from Shivaji University and an M.F.A. in 2018. Their artistic style blends traditional and contemporary elements, drawing inspiration from the works of Raja Ravi Varma, particularly his portrayal of Indian culture and mythology. The artist’s work often centers on rural life, celebrating the beauty of nature and everyday experiences. With a restricted palette of seven vibrant colors, they employ bold, sweeping brushstrokes to bring their visions to life. Art is a personal expression of emotions, cultural pride, and lived experiences. Embracing the digital age, the artist sees the internet as a powerful tool for reaching global audiences and sharing their art, deeply rooted in Indian traditions.
