- My name is Kannan Chithralaya. I am an artist, born in Kizhupillikkara, Thrissur district, Kerala. I've been drawing since the day I can remember. I had no formal teachers in art; I began by observing drawings and understanding them on my own. Later, I studied the works of great artists by continually observing and internalizing them. This self-study has been my art education—I never attended a fine arts college or took any formal art courses. I've received numerous awards, both online and offline. I was a winner in every school-level and state-level competition I participated in, which inspired me to take up art as a profession. I have been active in the field of art for 28 years. My main income comes from social media orders and conducting art classes. For the past 5–6 years, I have been running live online classes and have taught many students, which I continue to do. I've held many exhibitions and sold my artwork. I also conduct workshops in Mumbai, Delhi, and other places. Additionally, I work on film posters and frequently receive various opportunities. For the past four years, I have been the brand ambassador for globally recognized brands, Brudtro Art Materials and Sennelier Watercolors.
